More on the Murders in Moscow

I mentioned a few weeks back that an AP reporter told me that BATF told him that the AK-47 used was a full auto--and a legal, properly transferred one at that. Remarkable. While I was on vacation, I received an email from an acquaintance who remembers me from Cotati Rod & Gun Club in California--and tells me that BATF was threatening to prosecute his son-in-law, a gun dealer in Havard, Idaho, for selling Hamilton the full auto conversion parts for the AK-47.

Which is it? Was it a legal, properly transferred full auto AK-47? Or was it an illegal conversion? One or the other--but both can't be true.
