The August 14, 2008 Inside Higher Education reports that the University of Iowa is going to start requiring sexual harrassment training for all faculty and staff. But reading their account of why they are requiring this caused me to ask the same question that one of the commenters there pointed out (great minds think alike): you really need training to recognize that this isn't appropriate?
The University of Iowa plans to require all faculty and staff members to undergo sexual harassment training, The Des Moines Register reported. The announcement follows allegations that a professor — currently on leave pending an investigation — asked several female students to let him grope their breasts in return for higher grades.
